As a comprehensive community college, Iowa Western offers educational opportunities designed to prepare students for transfer to baccalaureate institutions. The first two years of college work including pre-professional education is a major focus of our academic programming. To assess the effectiveness of this aspect of our mission, academic performance of students who have transferred from Iowa Western to other colleges and universities is analyzed.
Transfer success at the Regent’s institutions (Iowa State University, University of Iowa, and University of Northern Iowa) is reported by the respective institutions at the conclusion of each term. Transfer reports from regional colleges and universities are forwarded at the conclusion of the academic year.
