College Credit Opportunities

Articulation

Articulation has been defined as an organizational plan to assist students in making a smooth transition for one educational level to another. It is accomplished through a joint effort on educators and administrators at the secondary and postsecondary levels. Within the scope of this definition, Iowa Western has identified courses and competencies which will provide the mechanisms to enable programs at the secondary level to interface with programs at the postsecondary level of education, this eliminating duplication between secondary and postsecondary levels. Courses that articulate from the high school to IWCC are technical courses. Credits are free to the students and apply to a technical program of study after the student has successfully completed 12 semester hours at Iowa Western.
